I woke up at 04.00 on Thursday February 17th 2005, walking down to Dun Laoghaire pier. I was planning on recording footage to use for a college sound project.
I set myself up by the sea with the camera and facing the sunrise I recorded a short 15-20 clip every 2-4 minutes. I recorded 52 overall and finished up around 08.30.
I walked home, had a shower and porridge and then went into college for class.
We finished up at 17.00 and I went home and climbed into bed.
I was woken up by a phone call from my gran aunt that lives in Bray. She was making her way over to my place in Monkstown Farm, a bit of a trip for someone to decide all of a sudden.
She arrived a little before 20.00. She had taken a taxi, as she had been drinking. My father had died while swimming that evening. Myself and my brother went back to Clare that night.
